Sorry to hear about your losses, I can only imagine how it must feel.

Perhaps you can contact godaddy and report the domains stolen, explain to them clearly what happened, they may or may not be able to help you, people have had success with that before, allthough now that they are at a new registrar you may not get any luck, but it's worth contacting them anyway.

With regards to the dupe accounts of this scammer it's best to contact a moderator:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php

And tell them which accounts you suspect may be dupes, they will look into it, they're normally very friendly and helpful.

I used to use EScrow.com as well but since I found MoneyBookers, I am very happy with it.

MB has a cheap escrow service as well that costs only 1 % of the transaction.

    Why anyone would risk 100 % instead of paying 1 % ?

This seller approached me offering to purchase some of my domains, I could tell he was a scammer just by the way he instantly accepted the price I offered for one of my domains. I asked him to pay via Moneybookers and stated if he was serious and wanted to get into the domaining industry better he would wait for them to verify him and it wouldnt be a problem but he declined and then called me a scammer lol.

If you want to prepare yourselfs for such scam attempts I suggest you read the following:

    May I interfere..

I suggest that he use the stolen credit cards and buy the domain from you. Maybe the info on the paypal account is true but it was stolen.

Then after the buying and selling process completed he or the real user noticed of unsual transaction and do the chargeback.

Could you please check your paypal either the money being transferred using CC or paypal balance. To call Paypal is easy, use Skype from Indonesia and dial the toll free number. It's free.

About Godaddy I dont have any comments.

well let me tell you, that acording to me the person who scammed you is totally an indian, and he had pre plans in his mind so, thats why he made fake accounts with the name of james whitt,,,, and tried to scam you who thought that no one will get to know that he is indian. More over he used all fake id's and paypal seems also to be fake. And the address in information of WHOIS might be correct.

You can undo the transfer if they were with godaddy and it's been less than 15 days since the transfer. Also post this on the paypal dispute thread (which the buyer started) so paypal can see. It would really help.

    Hope everything turns up well.

    YW dude

I would file a dispute with ICANN then, I would email back godaddy and ask them if they have any more information on filing a dispute.

I'm not sure if there are any costs in filing a UDRP dispute or not but if you wanted to go down the 'very drastic' route you could always report it to the FBI, this is their territory as it is technically fraud. You will need some hard contrete proof though. I would say that's a last resort.

    Hope this helps

New members are the hardest to trust. Ask them questions or at least get to know them a little better, they will scam you since they are new here and have almost no posts or little info about them.

I dont know if the dispute will cost money or not, but id say if they are valuable domains which are worth disputing then i'd say go for it.

I'm glad I was able to help you out in some way though, but if you see anyone that looks like they are going to sell something to this person then you could do them the favour of a PM letting them know they are dodgey and they will surely appreciate it, but don't go posting it in the threads as i dont think the mods will like it.
