Hi guys/gals, i just started to read and learn about the affiliates/CPA system and i really like the way it sounds and i'm willing to invest a lot of time and some money (little, for now ) in this project. The first thing everyone advices to be approved by an affiliate program is to create a website, a business one some say... I would like to focus on the computer/consoles gaming niche but i don't have a clue on what to do. Buy a domain and a host to start a wordpress blog with gaming news/reviews, whatever? I am very limited at online marketing knowledge... i've used to work as a real life books salesman, that's all. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

You don't even need a website to get approved. Just tell them you're a PPC guy and don't want to out your landing pages. They'll take that as a reason to believe that you're pretty tuned in and know what the hell you're doing.
Yes, I would start with a blog on a free host and write about various CPA offers. Then drive traffic to it using social bookmarking I would say - the types who use social bookmarking have a good overlap with people into gaming.
