    I use AVG free but I have different versions for anti-virus and spyware.

    AVG is (in my opinion) the best free anti-virus, try it out it is VERY good...

    I used Avast and it works incredibly well so far. Not a problem from any virus or spyware has been found on my laptop for 2 years.

    I am using AVG alongwith Zonealarm since long time without having any problem. You can get both freeware too.
