Total visits decreasing?

So Google Analytics has been telling me that the last few days my total visits have decreased. How is this possible?

On the page where you click view report there is a visits column. It was at 1500 a couple days ago and has gone down since then. It's now at 1376. Shouldn't that number only go up?

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
And what could be the cause?

By default its on month settings so for example when it was 1500- thats 1500 for 30 days prior now its at 1376, thats 1376 for last 30 days

Thank you. I didn't realize that on that page it only counts the last 30 days. Rather random. But now I know.

Do a comparison on your data on which days you've lost traffic. Track which keywords and landing pages were affected. You should also look at the source of the traffic as well. I highly doubt that the decrease in your traffic would come from Direct Visits since this is a common scenario in search engine visits.

You might have been affected with the most recent algo update by Google. Check your SE visits and compare the data.

That figure that you are talking about accounts for the last 30 days of visitors. If you check your sites entire history on analytics rather than the last 30 days, you would see that that total goes up everyday.

I am also experiencing the same thing for last two weeks and unable to identify any tangible reason for it.

I have the sams problems, but it worse. Google analytic no longer record my stats for a month, so my web stats is zero, like the website is dead.
I don't know why, my account is still normal, my web is still online.
Anyone know how to solve this??

Google changed their algorithm. They are trying to flush out crap sites, but this change caught a lot of legitimate sites too. If you are doing anything sleazy, stop it. If you're not, enjoy the misery with the rest of us.

It doesn't look like there's any end in sight either...
