Total Post are 790 but google indexed only 550

    Hi Friends,

    i have a blog www.timepassguru.com. The total number of posts are 790. but if use site:www.timepassguru.com Google is showing only 550 and this number is decreasing day by day.

    please any one suggest me what to do.:confused:

    once google take update, they count all your links, if u check via google webmaster tool or yahoo shows all.

    they might have gone to supplemental results.Bringing some links to each post will make google keep them out of supplemental index and will also be shown when you use site operator.

    I think you get penalty from google SE or most of your content duplicate.

    If the overall page of posts is the same, then having pages dropped for dup content is very possible. Keep an eye on it. If it keeps getting worse, then you might have to go to the drawing board.

    On a blog or a forum as posts get older they get buried further away from the homepage. As it's normally the homepage that has the highest amount of linkjuice, the rank of the older posts decreases over time and they fall into the supplemental index. It's very normal for Google to not index all posts in a blog.

    Regular updates of the sites as well as adding links can help with seeing more and more pages getting indexed and becoming visible on the Google.

    I suggest you install the free wordpress xml sitemap plug in. It will make it easier for Google to index your pages and you can tell Goggle to avoid some potential dup content (no index category or no index date).
