I was wondering how many serious adsense publishers are there in total, all over the world and not particular region or country, i also mean serious adsense publishers

The adsense twitter account has 25,789 publishers, is it that only that many serious publishers are there

Are all adsenser's following adsense on twitter

Just trying for a headcount here?

Well, I'm one of their followers on twitter, but I imagine a lot of "serious" publishers don't do twitter and that a lot of not-so-serious-publishers do (especially given what a time-sink twitter can be...). So I'm not sure it is an accurate count, but I wonder if adsense itself has that information published somewhere (total number of adsense publishers)?

If you want another number, there are almost 28,500 subscribers to the feed of the official Adsense blog. But like Crafty Blogger says, many "serious" publishers probably don't bother to subscribe and many "non-serious" publishers do.

This interview says there are "hundreds of thousands" of publishers. If only 10% are "serious" that puts the number in the tens of thousands.

Google probably has some detailed data in their SEC filings.

Interesting figures but i'd imagine that there are much more serious Adsense users out there. Does anybody have an idea of the true figures? I know its a figure Google are reluctant to publish themselves, but does anybody have a source that gives a better approximate?
