Hi all, I am brand new to this and I just signed up with clickbank and am having a hard time understanding how hoplinks work. You are told to copy the hoplink and then you paste it where? on the site or forum that you're using to promote the product? Also tracking I.D., where do i get a tracking I.D.? When do you insert your nickname into the hoplink? Are your hoplinks saved somewhere on your account page? I tried going through the FAQ's but didn't find what I was looking for, I guess this is super basic but like I said this is the first time I've ever done anything like this. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
You really need to learn the basics first. It isn't hard at all. You can do it. You have already taken the time and shown an interest by learning a little about CB. You need to back up a little and learn a few things before you think about doing anything with CB. I'm not try to avoid answering your questions, but it would take far too much to answer them so they would make sense unless you knew the basics. Good luck, Zeek
From the word itself Hop Link. It's basically a link pointing to products landing page. Like what Mr M says, never mind the tracking ID. For all I know there's instructions in their site. Just look for it.
You put your hop links on your websites, blogs, emails, forums etc etc. You put the links out there on the web, and encourage people to click on them. When they do, Clickbank will track any sales made through that link, and credit you with the commission. Tracking IDs are used so you can see which sales came from which link. For example: http://hoplink/?tid=BLOG http://hoplink/?tid=FORUM http://hoplink/?tid=EMAIL Once sales start coming in, you can filter by tracking ID inside your Clickbank stats and see which link (and so which form of promotion) is bringing you the most sales.
you nailed it TGR. I might add. Do take note: do not disarrange your affiliate links. You might not get the commission for a sale. Pretty basic but everyone cant afford to miss.
You must have got the answer from others. But from your post I can understand that you do not have much knowledge about affiliate marketing. Knowledge is the king. Try to learn as much as possible.
