hi , today i checked google webmaster page and i saw this : Total URLs in Sitemap 12728 Indexed URLs in Sitemap 296 why all those 12728 links r not indexed in google ? anything wrong ? or what ? Thanks in advance
Google does not care to index all the pages in a website. Its algorithm allows it to index what ever pages it deems fit to index. Of course, do not get frustrated. You can improve your site's visibility by including the sitemap and submit the same to google regularly after updating your sites. To submit sitemap to google, first sign in to google webmaster tool
ok so u mean reason is that my site is kind of new ( 2 month old ) and after a short or .. time all pages would be index ? i just want to be sure that my site has not problem . that s it . thanks
How have you got nearly 13000 pages on a two month old site! Yeah I think they'll pick it all up in the end. It may just grow slowly. Have patience.
It is new thats why.But if you want to make it faster make your content easily reached.an example is to have enough links that reach the depth of your site at the frontpage.
actually that amount is not page ! it s url that i have in my site . now i have 400 pages in my site , each page has 40 links = 16000 URLs so u guys mean all pages will be index soon or late and there is nothing wrong with my sitemap , right ?
What is the maximum number of clicks required to reach any one of those pages, from the homepage? If the pages in the XML sitemaps aren't tightly knitted into the Website's natural architecture, then they might get overlooked, even though they're in the sitemap. XML sitemaps assist, not define what should be indexed.
u know i have many pages , in each page there is 40 links + sidebar menus ! so for reach to the pages u should go the next page and that s it .. what u think ?
