In 2012, around the time of Google Penguin, my listings in Google started dropping off and I was majorly whacked. I was #1 for fun facts and quite a few other keywords, but now I can't find my listings even when searching for name of the site. The site is indeed indexed, but it seems that it's penalized somehow. There's no manual actions - I've checked this. A few months back (December), I used cognitiveseo and submitted a rather large disavow of directory links and some comment spam (the latter I suspect being a SEO attack, because I didn't do it). I've tried optimising my site, and even started using Google PageSpeed Service on some of the projects, but to no avail. Does anybody have any suggestions? The website is funfactz.com, if you type in fun factz (make sure it doesn't correct to fun facts), it doesn't show the site anywhere. It should do, the site has been going a while and, after all, that is the name of the site. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of what could be going on? The same applies for funny-insults.com. It shows no where for funny insults keyword in Google. I also submitted a disavow for that. I have minimal traffic from Google, but I still maintain listings in Bing it seems.
Easy. Penguin and Panda penalty, my friend. Penguin Your anchor text ratios are 2012. These days you should have at least 25% Brand anchors and 25% URL anchors. Since you're a partial match domain, I'd probably make this ratio 10%/40% respectively. A lot of your links are coming from low-mediocre sources. Throw in some high PR/PA/DA backlinks. Panda You're keyword stuffing. 'Facts' was use 3 times in the Title, 4 times in the description, and 57 times in the front page content. --- Hope this helps, Diggity
