Total cost to start VB forums

    Im looking to start 3-4 VB forums. I need to know the total cost to do this. I already have hosting but are there any other things needed besides the forum license itself? Can I buy 1 license and use it on all forums? Any major add ons I need?

    A license is just for 1 site only. If you run for 2 your license will be suspended.
    Basic forum install is enought for almost of forums, if you need more addons, have a look at vbulletin.org

    Second-hand License costs around $120 (You can find many of these on this forum) which means 4x$120 = $480

    I heard VBSEO is crucial. Can anyone confirm? Also, can you guys give me details on second hand license? What are they and how do I obtain one? Is this legal?

    Yes VBSEO is crucial at some point (but not always) and you will probably need it later depending on your forum.

    Just search for Vbulletin License and you will see threads with the [WTS] tag. Or create a thread in the Trade forums and you'll get replies from others trying to sell their own. It's legal to buy a second hand license.

    vBSEO is not crucial. We have never used it here, and we run just fine without it.

    @Contort, it depends on which license of vb would you like to purchase. However, if in the future you want to expand your forum. You can get Publishing and Mobile Suite. They do have a promo now for bulk orders. You can check their website https://www.vbulletin.com/order/
