Total ads on page = 3, does that include all types?

I read the guidlines and I want to clarify.
You are allowed to have 3 ad units on one page at a time but does that mean:
3 content Ads and zero Referral ads?
or
3 content ads and up to 2 referral ads?

or only
2 content ads and 1 referral ad to = 3 total ads?


basically, does the referral ad unit count toward the total ads unit of 3?

 

It is three of any one kind! I have used three content , a search and three referral on on same page in the past and I asked if that was ok and was told it was fine.

Maximums PER PAGE:

3 x AdSense for content units (standard ad units)
2 x AdSense for search boxes
1 x Link unit
2 x Referral buttons for EACH different referral product

You can, of course, have less than these maximums per page. You could, if you wanted, load you page with everything in the list above.

 

What are the consequences? I mean they will warn us or directly ban us

 

It's difficult to exceed the limits because there's some built-in system that counts how many units are on each page. If you do exceed it, I would think you'd be unlikely to get banned without warning.

 

yes, you are allowed 3 normal adds + 1 link ad + 2 referal adds + 1 search box per page

 

2 referral buttons for EACH referral product dubs - so if there's 4 referral products (as there is in most places worldwide) you could have 8 buttons per page.

 

3 ad units,1 link unit and 4 referral buttons on each page!
