I posted here because I am most concerned about Adsense. I just read a statistic that 40% of users remove their cookies monthly. That seems high, but I am one of these people, because I am not fond of the idea of being "mined". I don't toss cookies for selected forums (like this one-9), or ones from netscape(6), google(30), and yahoo(8). But all the advertising cookies - out they go. I know that if you drop Amazon cookies, you can lose commissions. Not that I care, I dropped Amazon completely - I gave them too much real estate for very low earnings. But I certainly care about Adsense and YPN. One that concerns me is www dot googleleadservices --- "Conversion". What are the POSSIBLE NEGATIVE EFFECTS of dropping these particular cookies from Adsense and YPN, other than having to reenter login info? Can you "lose status"? Can you be "penalized"? Will the dropped cookies be interpreted as "trying to hide something"? Thank you. .
I dont think that would change anything. I dont see point of being black listed. Maybe you reinstall OS. Maybe browser is reinstalled. Maybe new computer..
From a programmer's perspective (and probably Google's) I'd only care that you allowed cookies. It's easy enough to check for cookies and set a new one. Cookies are meant to hold client side data in the web stateless environment. Normally this is done for an improved user experience (no extra log in's) I doubt that Google would look at you suspiciously for tossing your cookies.
