Hello Guys! I'm just new to digital point forum. I have few questions about torrent-business. I hope I will get true and detailed answers. Is it 100% true that people can make money from uploading torrents? If "YES", then how is it possible? Once I downloaded movie from torrent site, I saw it and deleted from my computer. So when I downloaded that movie and watched, it means up-loader of that movie made some money just by sharing between two computers? Another hazy vision in my mind is "Affiliate Programs". I think, maybe there are some affiliate programs who has something to do with torrent-business, so by using such programs, people make money (via uploading or attaching something). Actually, its my rough idea, I need some more precise detail of it. For Example: I have one file or ebook and I'm uploading/sharing as "seeder". What must be the method / technique / program / affiliate-strategy for me to turn this activity into cash? What are the main basics to approach money in torrent uploading? I have seen thousands of torrents online, but to tell you truth I cant understand how this activity is being done towards cash. Its a mystery for me, still. Your professional experience will be appreciated in terms of detailed and true answer! I will be thankful for all of your replies. Thanx! Best Regards, Lamya Nolan.
uploading them you might find it hard to make anything - running your own torrent site can make quite a bit (if a private tracker racing scene releases) loads of people "donate" and ofc they profit a lot more than they will show.
go to blackhat world forums. There is a section for torrent money there. You wont get money for seeding torrent. but you can put a url to any aff offer inside the archive and get paid when some one buy the product/complete the offer. There are other nasty tricks too
ow yeah - most of the big threads on this forum are blackhat style sites - all file hosts generate income for uploaders and the site thanks to illegal files... if it is illegal there is a way to make money with it.
I've seen methods for making money with torrents, they involve binding a PayPerInstall software into an application and then sharing it with torrents.
I wouldn't bother too much with torrents... Theres been a huge uproar about copyright lately and the way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if most torrent engines like isohunt, bittorent etc , get shut down. Recently the p2p software limewire has been shut down, and perhaps you may have heard a woman being sued for $1.5 million for downloading 26 songs from a p2p program.... risky business I'd say.
making torrents & putting links inside torrent can generate lot of traffic to your site, then you can monetize your site with various kinds of ads, afflatus, filehosting earnings etc.
Dearest All, I do thank all of you and all your perspectives, having different angles of knowledge. This is great forum, to be honest. I learned lot of things within no time with such great info-contributors. Everyone who replied (will reply) does matter because each answer is a drop towards reasonable volume of information. I must admit one thing here without any discrimination, I did sign up three forums actually: a) Black Hat World b) Warrior Forum c) Digital Point Forum My vote goes to Digital Point! Here is reason: Warrior Forum straight asks for membership fee at the beginning. For girl like me, who has not made even US$ 1.00 yet, I wont go paying without prior knowledge of basics. Its like pay, read, sleep (all sale-writing = hype). I dont know, maybe Warrior Forum is for advance users/earners. Moreover, Black Hat World Forum's members didnt have that much time to answer my question, even single member didnt answer (they were all busy in some nasty tricks Digital Forum has credibility with "value of time". I do appreciate it! Its real forum in my terms and sense. Now look: I invested my time by writing detailed question. I got so many replies from members, they did acknowledge and recognize it with their time too in shape of answer. Its superb, I'm feeling paid in friendly notion. Whatever each member (novice /experienced) did mention to me is important. You all are great just like a strong team. Bravo! Finest Regards, Lamya Nolan.
Nope...torrent will not make money.... because less people use torrent to download nowadays.. they prefer to use paid file-hosting like file-server, rapdishare, hotfile
lamyanolan, Since you starting in IM and havent made any money yet, why dont you lurk through the content generation forums here and try doing some freelance jobs. Torrent isnt the appropriate field for some one who wish to make money with full comfortableness. Rather, it belongs to some what dark side of marketing. Shady ways are related to torrents more or less. Also you need to have some equipped atmosphere like a speedy connection, a seed box/Rda and multiple torrent site accounts and else. And if u in US it'll be tough due to the copyright issues. why risk life unnecessarily
@OP, torrent nowadays is no longer popular. if you want to make money uploading, you should check the official thread of filehosting services like filesonic in this forum, you may get an idea. also, the torrent section in BHW is less popular, because torrent itself is not popular and hard to monetise, maybe that's the reason you didn't get reply.
Hello Guys! Hummmm. Now torrent picture is totally obvious to me. Once again thanks for your knowledgeable input for making that hazy vision into crystal clear image in my mind. There are lot of things I learned about speed, internet link, copyrights, US policies, market trend, shady myth of torrents, dos & donts, plus actual scenario behind whole game of torrents. I wont be touching or crossing this risky red-line for wasting my time for torrent-concept, thats for sure now. Well Freelance, Social Networks, Digital Products, Traffic, Conversions....etc I think its time for these things now to make some money. Okay! I have made my mind towards above things. I will be in touch with you guys! I will surf this forum in detail on weekend and then finalize my favorite zone to start working. Oh by the way thanx hearthrobz for creative approach! Best Regards, Lamya Nolan.
I like to upload ebooks that contain affiliate links in them along with the free content as a torrent. That way, the ebook gets lots of downloads and affiliate clicks. Sometimes it works, other times not so well.
Agree with you! For all who wants to make real money file hostings is only real method instead of torrents. Check out hotfile, fileserve, keepfile, filesonic, turbobit and you will see that it is effectively allows to earn.
here is a way to make money from torrents I did this long time ago. Step 1: Find links on warez sites to movies Step 2: Open a blog on blogspot and post pictures with links Step 3: Upload a torrent to a torrent site with title: [Movie Name] Direct High speed HTTP Links Inside Step 4: Remember to put a link to your site and the all the download links except for the last one in the zip file. Step 5: Note also to tell that to go to your site to get the rest of the link. Step 5: Put a content blocker on your blog so they fill survey to get the link. Then just everyday upload 5 zip files containing movies. Also If you want alot more money making ideas and not guides then go to [jettrans.info] Amazing site in my opinion
For a little different perspective, I'm going to respond to torrents from the IT (Information Technology) point of view. Most content up/downloaded in torrents is illegal. Flat out illegal. If it doesn't violate copyright, there is usually some other reason the file is available on a torrent. This makes anything to do with torrents potentially illegal, and any time illegality is involved alot with it come a host of other problems. First, there are the people that think they need to be the "jello sheriffs" of the internet. For anyone that hasn't heard the term, a jello sheriff is someone that acts as if they have authority but doesn't have a leg to stand on leally. While a given product may be a ripoff of copyright, the jello sheriff has no right involved, isn't hurt by the action, and has no authority to be trying to enforce the copyright (or anything else). Unfortunately some of these individuals will actively host torrents, but insert virus, worms and other malware "just because they deserve it". Though I personally don't condone download of illegal software or other digital content, I don't condone the actions of the self-appointed jello sheriffs either. Second, even without active insertion of malware or other crap into the download, there are a lot of "opportunities" to download things that are not what they appear, and the person hosting the torrent may actually be innocent in this regard. It still does you little good if you download something that trashes your hard drive. The third situation is still a problem. You download something that for once doesn't have an obvious problem, and in return you end up with a keystroke logger or other program running on your computer that sends information back to the torrent host. Another problem related to security of your computer and/or life. As an experienced IT professional, IF I were to consider downloading torrents, I would do it on a public WIFI network using a notebook computer that had no other purpose, that contained absolutely NO personally identifiable information, then would make damn sure the download was clean before burning it onto a CD/DVD for transfer elsewhere. The cost of being safe would probably outweigh the value of anything I could download, even if I could get my concience to let me sleep after stealing someone else's content. Having lost significant potential income from some applications I wrote years ago being downloaded via torrents and similar processes, I may have a different ethical stance than many people. However, even ignoring ethics, given the current problems with viruses, worms and other malware, I can't see the downloads being worth the eventual risks of downloading a torrent (or any other peer to peer file sharing) to a computer that could have any information on it that could identify me or compromise my personal information or finances. As the computin resources of "the feds" improve, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see some activity in trying to determine who is providing the torrents, and who is downloading them. Given the problems with various prosecution systems, I would expect the eventual result for prosecution be through the IRS. Remember, they couldn't get the mobsters for their direct actions, but more than a few spent jail time for tax evasion... YMMV
The only thing I have to say is YES!!!! Good strategy!! I have used torrents to gain massive amounts of traffic pretty quickly. And it's FREE! If you can put together a short report or ebook and upload to about ten torrent sites, leave it seeding for about 48 hours, you will see a HUGE flood of traffic coming into your website. The trick is to make sure your links are in the report. People are getting good info for free so they will definitely be clicking on the links inside to see if they can find even more info.
