I was reading and a majority of the web hostings I come across theres a big bold message saying NO WAREZ.. So is it bad to link to torrents or is it put in the same category? I'm curious as I want to make a site based on a torrent site for a specific torrent and rank 1 for it as its searched ALOT. Not sure if this is necessarily illegal. Then I thought, isn't this basically like link giving? As your only linking to a site that has what that user is searching for? Hmm, almost like a blog.
It's a bit of a grey area. For example, look at Pirate Bay at the moment and remember supernova? And yet Clickbank allows you to sell games download products that basically just give you access to torrents.
Warez is a very risky and in most cases a dangerous practice, because it usually involves the linking of password and key cracks and in many areas, the cracks themselves are on the site itself. So, it's very well reasonable for web hosts to assume any Weraz site on thier servers will have illegal content and or linking to such content that could win the user some jailtime. That's why most web hosting companies warn about Warez sites.

Depends on if the torrents are legal or illegal. Contact your host if your unsure on if you are allowed or not, that's the best way to go about it.
