Torrent Search Engine [Ajax & Quick Loading]

rTorrents.net ( http://rtorrents.net/ ) is my technical demo. It's a fast loading Ajax based torrent site coded on unique technolgy. If the torrent search proves to work I plan to roll it out on a web scale. Unlike other search engines rTorrents takes the demand of crawling and simplifies it. If a site has a RSS feed it will grab the feed and parse the details, else it will do a normal crawl. This allows the indexer to index at a faster rate, and will provide better results. The crawler has been on for 25 mins at the time of posting as has managed to index 7000 torrents (torrents take longer than normal webpages). So let me know your views on the torrent engine, As it crawls based on live results, content published before today will not show. Try a example search: Simpsons.

    Thanks alot,
    ResonanceG

Looks really nice, I really like how it shows the results without you having to press enter and wait for it. What sites is it using?

The way one is able to search is indeed nice, I like Ajax, but the results seem to be rather bad, I'm sorry!

Why not have a private tracker insted of a search engine? Why would I want to have my own tracker?

And a alful lot more trackers.. If you have to many trackers the community is broken up. The fewer larger trackers the better at the moment.

The benefit of his site is that it indexes other sites, so it's like searching 5 sites in 1. The problem is it's either indexing really slow or it skipped a lot of files, for example "Prison Break" only had 2 results on rTorrents compared to 738 on scrapetorrent.com.

I'd at btjunkie.com to the list, they have A LOT of stuff. I'd also take Demonoid off, since you need an account to use it and most people don't have accounts, it's just a waste of time.

Indeed. It's something which will take time, as it indexs 1 min after a file has been published, so past files won't be indexed yet. Prison Break for example has been crawled a few moments ago so there are results now. Added BJ also. Thanks.

Sorry, fixed that issue. It was due to not having a limit on results, so you might of got all 28,000 show which crashed the browser.
