I have seen several people posting free rebrandable reports on torrents, for example, you look for water4gas, you get a torrent named water4gas, download it, and there is 6-7 page report stuffed with affiliate links. Does this work, has anyone tried this and had success. Becuase I don't think people who would look for something to get for free on torrents would buy, but what are you experiences with this, anyone tried it?
I've heard of people doing this and have been interested in it but have no clue where to start . If anyone can throw some light on how to go about using this marketing technique that would be cool.
What they usually do is, get a rebrandable report, let's say for Google Nemesis Upload the same report under several names, for ex: 1st Name - Google Nemesis 2nd Name - How To Make Money online 3rd Name - Make easy money online I.e put attractive titles so that they get downloaded, the torrents get downloaded, it is fairly easy to get your torrent downloaded, the issue is whether the traffic is worth anything
But how do you actually go about uploading your report to torrents or getting it uploaded by other people?
I've heard of this working well for people but I've always been skeptical for the reason that you stated --- that people who use torrents are unlikely to buy... But I suppose if they get curious about something and *cant* find it on torrents I can imagine it working.
People who use torrents are smarter than most ordinary Internet users. The fact that they use torrent signifies that they don't have much money to dispense. Although you can be a rich man and still using Torrent.
I wouldn't try this. And I agree to all above posts. People using torrents are not *buying* kind of people.
I also agree that people who use torrents are the ones that don't want to pay for stuff, but I'm gonna try this out anyway, It takes 10 minutes to set up almost zero effort, I don't expect to get any sales from it, so I'm gonna try it out anyway, and post the outcome in a day or two
I tried it. I don't think it's effective. It's hilarious though, they get pissy when they download it and leave comments about it being spam. All the while, they're upset they can't steal it lol. Everyone is right though. Targeting people that are looking to get it for free isn't the smartest idea. Even though some of those torrent pages can rank in Google.
The people that use torrents more than likely aren't interested in buying or they want to preview before they buy. (Hey, it happens sometimes!) I've been the victim of a rebranded ebook or two in my day..lol. I never bought anything though. Point is, using torrents is black hat. Use it at your own risk but I highly doubt the traffic from it will convert at all. About how to use it: Simply download a brandable pdf. Stuff your own affiliate links in it. Upload it to all the torrent sites. Write a good description in the description box. Wait for people to download it. Simple. It may work better if you throw a few pay per lead links in there. At least if they CLICK the link, you'll get paid.
I think its better if you create your own torrent website and promote that website. Its faster than promote the products one by one.
