I am currently running a toplist which has a weekly reset that occurs of thurs. I notice that on this day the traffic increase some %700 from sites which are trying to get a top site listing quickly into the circulation. This repeats every week and is quite predictable. Because of this I am wondering, are the webmasters of these site manually routing the traffic to my list after the reset, or is there some type of software that allows you to schedule outgoing traffic patterns to maximize sends during key periods like I have described?
Hate to bump my own post, but is it possible that this weekly toplist sending is simply done by hand?
I think it is most likely done by hand, the majority of sites listed i should guess wouldnt have the resources to have a system to do it for them automatically. If there is such a large rise in traffic it shows that such webmasters certainly value your traffic.Have you considered offering premium listings for the top few spots in the toplist at a weekly/monthly cost?
