In response to my Digg post , I started a new topic. I think it would be pretty cool to have people add in their opinions on how many SEO's do you think cheat or dont cheat. Also , how many of those in the top 10 pages on Google do you think are 100% legit, and how many do you think involve 'other' tactics? If certain High PR link sites could technically be cheated, how many do you think are doing it? This is not to be interpreted as condoning or judging cheats or not cheating. Just a fun topic to see what people think. ssandecki will probably be here shortly , he likes to follow up on all my posts for some reason lol j/k ssandicky
If w are basing on top 10, half of them might cheat SEO. A simple sample on cheating is spamming. So through spamming, you can be in the top 10..
Do you think sites that can be exploited by cheating SEOs should not be mentioned as far as how they can be cheated? and hope that the cheaters just wont discover it.. OR .. do you thin kit would be better to attract attention to the fact that some sites designs can be cheated , so that they could incorporate some new strategy to stop cheating ..which would make a level playing field for non-cheating SEOs? Using the Digg website as an example - if a SEO finds 500 to 1,000 people in a small network SEO team , they could get front page posts to Digg every day. OR say they dont find 1,000 people..what if they just made 1,000 user names at different IP# strategy? the thing is, its so easy to find the exploits ..should people not mention it or do you think they should mention it? because the fact is I have a post on Digg .. just an article, no cheating..it has a small handful of Diggs. But think about it, what if I were a cheating SEO.. I could see the way that system works , open multiple user accounts , perhaps invest some money in a IP proxy fancy system etc. and hold over 100,000 accounts for each virtual person on the system. Then say you pay some peoples to vote for your posts, using those many created acocunts , articles, etc Yeah they would get suspicious we could assume , after many days in a row ..but could they prove it? Also, what if you only did it once every few months. BUT across the board, you were consistently i ntop 10 on a few sites on the Internet. If you were a motivated cheating SEO you could dominate sites from digg to even sites like mp3.com Have I ever done this ? ...Answer = Nope , if i had been doing this, I wouldnt be here looking to constantly try to better by legit SEO skills Its crappy that its so easy to cheat your way to the top aint it? All the hard work ..and ya just know somebody is doing it the easy way.
