AltaVista The AltaVista search engine strives to provide information to the global community, according to its website. Snap.com Snap.com is a new type of search engine. It provides context-sensitive content; it learns from the searches of other Internet users.
I think Google and Yahoo are the best search engines. Alongwith these two Bing, AOL,Ask and MSN are also most popular search engines.
Right. Google is on top... they also offer their other web services for free. Their site's interface is simple and clutter free.. unlike the others.

i get visitors only from Google ! The other search engines bots are working on my site , indexing , but it`s like nobody visit them ! I see Inktomi every day on my site , but my analytics data show no results from bing !
Google is obviously on top! Yahoo and Bing follow. But Google is way ahead of other search engines. It is the king!
