Great plugin. I use most of these listed. Also the feedburner one and Google Analysts one as well (didn't see these listed). There are top 10 posts everywhere for WP Plugins

Help! I uploaded and activated the sitemap generator plugin but when I click on Rebuild SiteMap in Dashboard-->Options-->SiteMap I get the following 2 errors: *sarmysti is my cpanel username. My blog is located as www.mysite.com/blog (just an example) Anyone knows how to go about it?
Or maybe you don't have both file on directory location as specified on error report. Try upload and put them both, don't forget to set permission chmod to 666
Thank you for the reply but I cant seem to find these files on my server. Would you be knowing their exact location by any chance? Edit: i"m new to wordpress
The exact location should be at www.mysite.com/blog/sitemap.xml.gz www.mysite.com/blog/sitemap.xml Or relative to server path, should be at : /home/sarmysti/public_html/blog/sitemap.xml /home/sarmysti/public_html/blog/sitemap.xml.gz Can you find them?
Nope . Here's my blog URL : http://fitnessfanatic.org/blog By relative server path, you meant it should be at: http://fitnessfanatic.org/home/sarmysti/public_html/blog/sitemap.xml and http://fitnessfanatic.org/home/sarmysti/public_html/blog/sitemap.xml.gz ? Searched my whole root directory with my ftp but couldn't find any of those files...
It should be at http://fitnessfanatic.org/blog/sitemap.xml, I also can't find it. You need to create a file named sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz , and put it to that location. Don't forget to chmod 666
Thanks again... I know I'm actng like an idiot (a noob actually), but how can I create these 2 files. Should I just open notepad and create 2 empty files and rename them as sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz? And then upload it to the required location...? Or is it some other way.. sorry for bugging you!
SITEMAP GENERATED!!! Thank you so much Yulia, your help was really very valuable. Adding green rep for you [] And thanks to Pablo too for starting this wonderful thread!!
I actually use dd-sitemap-gen to generate sitemap for my wordpress blog. It has some better SEO feature than sitemap generator plugin on previous post. See how it works on our Women sitemap Hope you could find your best...
aaaah, if only I had gotten to know bout this one earlier. Anyways I'l do with the one I have now, cant go through the same torture again...!
