We all know about the obvious ones like MyBlogLog, Digital Point, Stumble, Digg(although hasn't been that great for me thus far), reddit(this one either).... what other sites are out there? Share your experiences, thoughts, opinions ect.
I mainly use forum marketing for my sites - it probably gets me ~100-200 daily visits. Just join a related niche forum and answer questions while citing your website as the source.
yeah forums have really worked for me for my more targeted niche sites which i manually add content to... an example is I have a pet related site (adsense and affiliatemarketing links) and post on about 4 large pet forums. i do well from them and make about £300-£400 a month and double that when i secure exclusive offers from merchants or when they have sales (these target UK audiences) for probably making 2 posts a week on each forum. as 'moneymoose' says the key to posting is to join in on a subject and if necessary write a little blurb on your blog/site and draw them over.

RSS is the most important aspect for content promotion, you need to research how effectively you can use this tool to syndicate your content and get subscribers, Google also showing subscribers in its Webmaster center which will help you to track your readers.
