Hey All, I have been approached to sell one of my long term sites in the security field and am considering it, but wanted to get an idea of value outside my own bias and the "how many inbound links" appraisal websites. Here's the scoop. The site started in 98 and has lots of links and mentions - press, radio, TV, directories, search engines, Yahoo Dir, DMOZ, Archive, universities, blogs - reviewed in Pcworld, smart computing, Kiplingers, lockergnome, digg, jeremy.zawodny.com, pcmag, and many more - even if I was selling just the domain name the goodwill goes with it would I assume increase the value. Stat wise there are 20K members, about 20% active - alexa @ 500K, PR% and serves around 150 - 200K pages p/m. Here's the catch - this site has never been monetized! I know, money on table etc but I have other sites that take my time, one of the reasons I am even considering an offer. So, since I cannot give out the domain at the moment, anyone care to offer an opinion? Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope this was the right section for this... Steve
