I don't trust safelists. They are used by "buy traffic" companies who are generally ripping people off. But I could be wrong. Is there anyone who has successfully used a safelist? As a general rule if you want a mailing list then you make it yourself. You build a website and optimize it and then get people to give you their email address. Next, you email them over and over till they buy your product.
Hello, I just found this post while surfing the Internet and figure I would share with you my experience with safelists. I used safelists for years (and still do). The best ones to join are the credit based safelists. People will visit your website so they can earn credits to mail out to the safelist themselves. Also safelists today run a lot of contests for members giving away money, credits etc. so this gives people a reason to be active, and view websites. Now probably the best thing about safelists is they sell Solo Ads which are sent directly to the contact email address to all the members. When you normally use the safelist all the messages get sent to the person "list" address, so these solo ads are VERY effective, because your ad will be the only one going to their contact address, and usually members earn a nice amount of credits for viewing Solo Ads. I've personally profited extremely well over the past 3 years because of them. Ok so to answer your question now here are my top safelists that I use as we speak and will continue to use. http://www.smartsafelist.com --- Very active lists. Runs a lot of contests giving away money, and credits plus offers good benefits to paid members. Also offers cheap solo ads. http://www.adtactics.com --- With a large member base this is one of the top credit based safelists online. They list is very active. They also offer a solo ad for $25 as of 2/19/09. http://www.gotsafelist.com --- This is one of my favorites. They have a huge member database, and great response rate from the members. They also offer a ton of other advertising deal such as login ads, text ads, banner ads, logout ads, thank you ads, solo ads. I've gotten a lot of response from this place. http://www.safelistxl.com --- Another great place with a nice size membership. I bought a solo ad here and got over 15 leads from it, and I only paid $7.95 for the solo ad as of 2/19/09. http://www.elitesafelist.com --- I get good response from this place. They have a nice membership base, and they run a lot of contests to keep the members happy and active. They also sell solo ads for around $17 as of 2/19/09.
