Top Ranking Keywords on my Blog, Without Positive Results - Why?

    I can’t understand it. I want to pose a big “Why”? This is regarding a blog of mine which have at least 3 keywords that I just found have been ranking on the first pages of google search engine (for such keywords).

    I want to cite one of these keywords, which is insurance related. It is on the second spot of the first page (results is 22 million, without quotation marks).

    When I check on adword keyword tool, the volume of monthly searches on this keyword, it says 6500 a month.

    When I check on spyfu, the cost/click is 1-10dollars, the clicks/day is 7 to 9, while the search volume is almost 1000.

    Now, what do I get, 100 to 120 visitors a day, and measly cents in earnings for this blog, a dollar at the most. This, despite of 3 fairly competitive keywords (if I would base it on the search volume on these kw) with great search engine rankings.

    Wouldn’t it fair if I get at least hundreds of visitors? What could be wrong happening here. Help enlighten me please.

    So I think you'd better think it over carefully.Maybe your blog is not attractive and with bad quality?Or people
    are not interested in your product or service?There can be many reasons.Sometimes,traffic doesn't mean order,
    let alone money.

    I'm busy doing some keyword research for a client so I can't tell you for certain even if you had listed the keywords here. Did you use the "Exact" or "Broad" search setting in the Google External Keyword Tool?

    I have a blog that can be found on the first page of the Google SE because of three of its main keywords.

    One keyword has search volume of almost 1000 a day at google adword kw tool. For the three keywords, total search volume is 2000 a day.

    My main concern is:

    Why is it that I only get 100 daily visitors, when my blog is on the first pages of Google for 3 keywords? Shouldn't I be getting much more visitors to my blog?

    Look at your competition. If they seem to offer what the user is looking for and they are ranked in the first position, then it will not make a difference if your ranked on the first page. If the user finds the information they need by clicking on the first link, then they wont be looking at any of the other found searches.

    If this is the case, and you want to get market share of the keyword, you need to pull yourself up to the number 1 spot and then you might see some volume increase.
