    Googling the term.
BUt be careful in what list you purchase.
Loads of sites are selling 2-3 year old lists like they were new.
Your best bet would be to get software that will automate this feature and keep you up to date on the keywords.
Again google, as I forget the top rated software (mega bucks).

There are plenty of free lists available on the web, for example top-adsense-keywords.com

I have checked several free lists and none of the sites will say how new those keywords are.
Or how often they are updated.
Stick to the software, and get daily updates for your own research.

First of all: I'm too lazy to use the system I will explain, I simply have a niche site and work on it, but...

If you are not lazy like me, go and open a Google Adwords account. Then, try to set up campaigns and use the tool provided to estimate a CPC (look to both things, Cost per click and estimated number of clicks, this last will give you an idea on how many times the term is searched). Try & try & try (use your imagination a bit), and then you will get more real high paying keywords than any keyword list you could buy. And that one it's free man.

But really and seriously: you won't be success if what you want is to make big money in a short period time. Better: do a web about something you know, you really like, think in the long term.

Yes, some advertisters want to make sure they are always number one.
Remember, the keywords may bid high as the sun, but to get those kinds of ads on your site, google wants lots of unique traffic and content that goes well with those keywords.

Yeah I like the overture bid tool.. I have found the AdWords tool can be way off at times.. it's a lot of playing around with ALL the systems to try and figure out which keywords pay best. I recommend building a site that covers a topic you enjoy, rather than just aim for top paying keywords.

Many advertisers pay high rates for a particular keyword but also set a daily ad spending limit. What this means is that they achieve their limit sometime during the day and other, lesser paying ads, take their place. On average, these "high paying keywords" only pay average rates once the big spenders have blown their wad.
