    Under search terms "S10 Buildup"

now I want to be listed in the top 5 for "s10 v8 Conversion" or "S10 V8" these will be much harder to achieve, but I'm just glad I'm indexed already. Using a Wordpress blog what all should I start with first for better optimazation?

Congrats.... I would make "S10 conversion" a much more proirity than "s10 v8 Conversion", although more than likely if you are in high Serps in "S10 conversion" you are most likely in high Serps for "s10 v8 Conversion".

Get some directory submission going, start with roughly 200+, get your site on your signature. Join some automotive forum and get a few text link and don't forget a good anchor text to go with your signature links.

    Good luck!!

Do you have specific advise on this? Do you reccommend manual submission to sites found in this forum or should one submit through a tool that submits to hundredes of sites? Is there a downside? I have heard a sudden rise in links is suspect.

Manual submission by yourself (if you have the time) or have one of the many DP users that manually submit to directories (for a fee) to do it is the best way. Automatic tool submission is a crapshot. Almost all directory submitters here in DP will give you a list of directories they will submit to before and after submission is done. Just do a search and you will see who are the better, best ones out there by reputation.

If you are asking about traffic builders, then that is a different story, BEWARE of them.

The reason you submit to directories is to get backlinks, the more "quality" backlinks you have the better Google and the other search engine will think of your site and will list you in there SERP and hopefully the higher you go in their respected list. Thus, hopefully you get more traffic to your sites.

Just make sure you target a good keyword or a couple beforehand. Do some research on the industry you are trying to penetrate. Then stick with it. If after a few months nothing is happening then it's time to re-assess your keyword and backlink strategy.

BTW, when doing a directory submission make sure you are placing your sites on "RELEVANT" category. If your site is about "widget" do not submit to "wedding" category. Relevancy is one of the keys to directory submission. Don't be shy on letting the directory owner know that you are placed in a wrong category.

    good luck.
