Now, according to the UK's Telegraph, the "White Stig" has apparently ended the mystery, revealing himself as 33 year-old Ben Collins. Collins has raced professionally in everything from NASCAR to LeMans, and most recently served as Agent 007's double for sequences of Quantum of Solace that required fancy wheel work. I wont buy this until I hear it from a spokesperson from BBC/TopGear, the media only care about sellin papers.
I have Google'd and plenty of people are talking about this so I guess there could be something to it! Did you ever have an idea who it was? I always thought it was Damon Hill.
for a while i thought it was lewis hamilton or Colin McRae but lewis is to young and sadly colins dead because of the helicopter crash.
I always thought the identity would go to the guys grave, but never mind hey! He is a great driver, although Lewis Hamilton kinda owned him on his first attempt at the Top Gear track.
I never thought it would be someone too famous and certainly not someone who was still racing such as Hamilton, but I won't believe this guy is the Stig until it comes out officially with either Clarkson, May or the Hamster pulling off his helmet for the reveal! Many people have claimed to be the Stig so I am always skeptical
Well if it is Ben Collins, He's now lost his job. TopGear have a VERY strict policy on 'The Stig' not realeasing his identity, look at what happened to the 1st Stig, Perry McCarthy, he revealsed his identity and then was killed off at the beginning of the 3rd series. It's all on wikipedia. So if it is Ben Collins and it's gotten out, he's lost his job.
