Here's what I use & ultimately stick with: FireBug - http://getfirebug.com/ Web Developer - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 YSlow - http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/ (needs FireBug) MeasureIt - http://www.kevinfreitas.net/extensions/measureit/ ColorZilla - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/271 (also colorpicker.com works well instead of firing up photoshop) Pixel Perfect - http://www.pixelperfectplugin.com/ (needs FireBug) Dust-Me Selectors - http://www.sitepoint.com/dustmeselectors/ Screengrab - http://www.screengrab.org/ I have them listed in order of usage as well. Hope this helps someone out
Thanks! Firebug and Web developer are insanely useful. I also like View Source Chart, IE View, User Agent Switcher (requires Web developer) and lesser known Foxy SEO Tool (search spider simulator to check your code).
Wow, whoever made up Foxy SEO....... why didn't I find this earlier! It's so much better than having to go to an alternative site to see how the spiders crawl your site. This can easily move up to my #2 tool, thankks koan!
Yeah it's pretty nifty uh? It makes it so easy to analyze the html structure of your site (or a competitor!) rapidly. That's why it's my current sig of the moment.
