My Personal review of the two best domain registrars... Moniker.com, a subsidiary of Oversee.net, is one of the top 10 domain registrars in the world by volume. The company manages a little over 2,500,000 million domain names for thousands of individuals and clients as of December, 2008. Approximately 80% of those domain names are all .com, followed by 10% for .net and 4% for .org --- The rest of the tld/cctld domains make up less than 5% total. Fabulous.com manages less domains than Moniker, about 2x less at 1,300,000 domain names total as of December, 2008. A large portion of fabulous.com registered domains are their own actually! Fabulous parent company Dark Blue Sea Limited, owns a couple of other companies in the direct navigation industry, and one of them is Domain Active Pty Ltd --- A domain holding company that owns over 550,000 generic keyword domains. Approximately 85% of all domains registered with Fabulous are .com domain names. The .net domains make up about 9% and .org names come in at 5% total. All other tld/cctld domain names make up less than 1%. It is pretty clear that the top choice for professional domain investors is .com domains --- Almost 9 times out of 10 an expert domainer will choose to register a domain with the .com extension. Some of the largest, well known and of course most successful domain investors and companies all choose either Moniker or Fabulous to manage their precious and valuable domain names if they don't personally own a domain registrar. They are the registrar of choice for many expert domainers and large domain investment companies because they provide the most personalized customer support as well as wholesale pricing and deep discounts on domain related services that are not available anywhere else. Moniker and Fabulous are the two most "domainer" friendly registrars around. They are also two of the most secure when it comes to preventing hijackings and fraud. Both companies never advertised their services much but clearly got to the top because of their core values and professional services, offerings and knowledgeable teams of people behind the scenes. All of their business comes from word of mouth and recommendations I'd say and they have a very strong and concentrated group of clients who are full time domain investors and marketing professionals. The executives and staff from both companies are active on domain forums, blogs and attend most conferences. I'd recommend either one of the companies to anybody who is looking for a professional and reliable top registrar to keep your domains safe and secure. Both Moniker and Fabulous have clearly proven themselves over the years to be very unique and stand apart from the crowd. From hundreds of registrars, this two are by far the best of the best when it comes to trusting a company with some of your most important internet assets and not having to worry about something going wrong --- And even if something does happen, which is always a possibility, you can count on them being there each and every step of the way and working with you in order to solve the problem. I have been using both Moniker and Fabulous almost exclusively to manage all of my own personal domains for about five years now, going strong, and I've also recommended them to countless friends and clients. I never heard anybody complain or have an unresolved issue with them. If you haven't tried them yet... You should!
you might wanna re check the number of domains managed by Moniker..its definitely not "2,500,000 million domain names"
