He likes anyone that isn't against real terrorists and anyone that wants to see America defeated. So it's possible. He'll probably say they are two cheeks of the same arse though. He's not impressed with dems or repubs, unless they seek defeat for America.
Truer words have never been spoken. Did you read the part about Bush echoing the sentiments of Brezhnev before the Soviet Union fell? Americans need to start taking some personal accountability for our democracy. Vote, get active, learn about the issues and participate. The greatest failure is that we seem to slowly be losing less interest in being American every single day.
Yep. Not surprised you'd actually -try- to make a good comparison there when there isn't though. so guerilla, whatcha think. RP agree on what, 50-60% of OBL's statement here? More or less? Whatcha think?
The statements here, or the whole statement? I only skim read it. And the Bush/Brezhnev thing was only to make the point that our conservatives are no longer conservative. A complete system overhaul, starting at the grass roots level is needed. Americans need to get interested in America again or we'll end up one of these metro-sexual, homogeneous European Union countries.
Yeah. That was the point he's making there. You really need to reread that part. Seriously, read page 2 and page 3. Give me a percent of the major points RP probably agrees with. Skip over to page 5 and gimme some more. I'd call about 50-60% myself. I don't seriously believe that OBL believes all this crap he put out here, but its clear he knows who is sympathetic or can be persuaded (ie he knows who the weak links are). He calls out democrats (gimme some help guys, end the war. OBL clearly says that his forces won't capitulate so we better leave. Democrats and RP, "OK!"), anti-war protesters (do more!), the media (he specifically references a story of a disgruntled GI aired on ABC), the kyoto treaty (clearly fuzzin' up to the anti-capitalist environmentalists), anti-globalism (fuzzin' up to the socialists here), he also references the debunked casualty count (650,000) that is still trumpeted by some, etc. And some are willing to be played. It's actually quite disturbing.
thats great, but how can you respond so well when you don't even read the article well enough to know what you are responding to?
I'm confused as to whether you are questioning if I am a gifted individual, or simply that damn good. Because I readily admitted that I had not read OBL's statement in detail. I'd vote "that damn good" but it would be hubris. Let's go with "gifted".
neither...I'm just wondering why you think you are so good (in your words, gifted) about making posts about something that you have not even read thoroughly??
Except that 650,000 figure was debunked by both sides quite a while back. By the way, hilarious that Democrats would be blasting anyone for carrying politics overseas. Maybe Rahm should've said the same thing when Kucinich (Democrat) was blasting President Bush, the Iraq war, and Israel, earlier that day in Syria. Difference is, of course, Australia is an ally. Syria isn't.
I'm not sure many people know what you are referring to about Rahm. It's a good thread starter. Feel free The stunning hypocrisy it'll bring forth will be rather amusing.
