Top Commenter do follow links are great for those looking for sitewide backlinks. The plugin resets monthly. Here's a DO FOLLOW blog that has reset its Top Commenter ranks recently. Free Website Traffic is the name of the blog.
Make as many comments as you can to get on the top commentators section. Once on there your link will be places on all of the pages on the blog. Go to Google and type in "site:thesitenamehere.com" to see how many pages the blog has. I used to use that method all the time but it takes too much effort posting comments all day. Too much manual labour involved for me.
