    Hello,
I have seen quite a few contradictory statements out here talking about Top Commenter as a Backlink.I would like to know if it counted as a backlink and what weight it would have if i have 3 PR6,1 PR8 top commenters link to my site.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thnx

It would be nice. Though...the links are also coming from EVERY PAGE of the site, which doesn't look that great if all your links are distributed that way. But it will definitely help pagerank and add some link juice to your site, as long as there isn't a condom on them.

It means you're getting a link on every page of the site, which can be considered spammy if all types of links are gathered that way. Blackhat tactics include getting links on as many pages as possible and getting site-wide's on blogs use to be a spammy way to get to the top of the SERPs quickly. Having said that, if only a small percentage of your total inbound link structure is site-wide links, then its not a big deal - as Google's quality barometer is always looking for a natural link structure.
