For the uninitiated, blogs with the top commentator plug-in can be of great value to link building. While all the links come from the same site, they are still beneficial - especially if the site has numerous high internal PR pages. While the actual comments themselves may be nofollow, the links on the Top Commentator sidebar are almost always dofollow (with a few rare exceptions). With that in mind, I would like to give you guys in the link development sub-section (because there are MUCH fewer spammers in here - you guys are legit ) a heads up on my new blog with top commentators enabled. While it's brand new, and doesn't have any of the PR stuff that I talked about earlier, there are no comments yet so at least it's easy to get on the list... Hey - it's a free backlink, just take it. Here is the latest blog post, feel free to leave a few comments and enjoy links Why You Shouldn’t Flip Blogs When Starting Out I also wouldn't mind hearing a little feedback - good or bad about the layout/writing style/whatever. I'm kind of new at the whole blogging thing
Top Commentators is a great pluggin. If you get into the list you get instant dofollow backlinks (lots of them!). But you need to post regurally in the same blogs, especially early in the next month to secure you Top Commentator slot else you lose the links!
The trick is to build a good lead so that new commentators will be discouraged and won't bother trying to take you on Dirty tactic, I know - but it works...
Good idea. Mind you, I have had some people "steal" my Top Commentators position. They have put their site under my name and posted a comment stealing my slot!!! So their site goes where mine was, but with my name!! Cheeky b*st*rds!!
Yeah, top commentators is really a great plugin for getting fast backlinks. But you have to post often in that blog where you find this plugin.
