    Can anyone provide a list of the top adsense revenue generating sites? Or at least provide some examples of sites that are doing well?

    Are you wanting to get some ideas off their site? If so;

    Have a look at some of the premium adsense accounts such as about.com. After all they get Optimization assistance from google so get out a pad and take note, what formats (some may be different but you get an idea), what colour schemes do they use? Do they blend into the site or are they bright?

    I have noticed that from both examples many do not follow standard advert sizes, they use Squares, large rectangles etc. Also the text flows around the ads (You do this via CSS eg. float: right;)

    I posted that a few days ago at my site.

    Just look at the premium adsense accounts, they are bound to do well right?

    My question was more for relatively new sites, only a year or two old that have had significant success with adsense. Obviously any site that has been around for a while and has good traffic can put up adsense and be successful.

    I think SHT hit the nail on the head. Find out what the big guys are doing and try to emulate them. This isn't a rule of thumb (because there are a ton of big sites still doing it wrong) but I'm willing to bet that the proportion of big sites who do it right is a lot larger than the proportion of the little sites who do it right.

    Here's another key adsense tip, or a general web promotion tip: Find what what the "Always" is and do the opposite. What I'm saying here that being successful is about differentiating yourself from others.

    Sites ALWAYS have a 468 banner near the top.
    Skyscrapers are ALWAYS on the right.
    Content area is ALWAYS ad-free.

    Find the "always" and you'll be more successful if you do the opposite.

    Take a look at some big blog networks as well. They generally rely on Adsense as a main source of income so they optimize very well.

    try look at my site http://www.osx-e.com, although my income from adsense is not 5 figures, but I still can say I'm quite succesful applying adsense to my site because I get more than 1,000 clicks per day, but due to my site not targeting high paying keyword, the revenue is not too much.

    BTW, my site is just 1 year old and have averagely 3,000 visitors a day

    I start the site not to earn any money, just want to share some applications with desktop customization community. Then a website member suggested to me to put adsense because the site become bigger and need lots of resources/money to maintain.

    Now I'm really happy because 1 day income from adsense is enough to cover cost for 1 month.
