There was trouble with the script when I used it the last time as well. I recall it was pretty good, when it was working.
i thnk the command works for older sites as well see mine http://www.google.co.za/search?hl=en&q=allinanchor:karomasti.com&btnG=Search&meta=&aq=f&oq= 145,000 results...hu ..its good
I think seoquake or seo4firefox add-on would be really helpful for this purpose. Of course, backlinkhunter would return more detailed results for you. Have a nice day,
Yahoo site explorer gives the best results. Google's version only shows about 10% of the links that Yahoo shows. At least that's what I've found.
Here's something I just noticed when trying the allinanchor: command on google. I'm in the US and my site's only about six weeks old. Using allinanchor: on Google only gave me my own domain. However, google.co.za gave me 107 backlinks which is less than yahoo, but there were a few I hadn't seen before. Is Backlinkwatch incredibly slow for anyone else? I have high speed, and after four minutes it's still at Processing backlink number 4 Remaining backlinks to be processed 758 I don't think it's going to get done anytime soon. Edited to add: So I'm an idiot. It's not the difference between google and google.co.za. It's the difference between adding www or not before your domain name. Just realized that I typed it differently on the two search engines. Not using the www got me the 107 results, using the www got me my own domain results only, on both googles.
Can i ask a silly question? Let's take a signature that you use at a forum that is dofollow. Is every signature that appears behind your posting counted as 1 unique backlink?
Google alerts didn't work well for me. Backlinkwatch is a great tool for back link analysis. It not only gives which sites linking to your site but also the number of outbound Links found on these back link pages.
I mostly use Google Webmaster tools and yahoo site explorer. Bing explorer is somewhat good. Backlink watch is new to me.
backlinktracking dot com is new to me. thanx for the info. btw, backlinkswatch dot com too works good enough
Google Alerts is the best. Nice to watch an email trickle in when G finds your links. Shows that all your hard work is paying off. Sick
Yahoo Site Explorer doesn't load most of the time and gives a 999 error. I use backlink watch but I'm trying to find something better since it only shows 1000 links and hasn't updated in a while.
I use Market Samurai for all marketing stuffs. Checking backlinks as well as anchored text is easy with MS...
