In my experience, submitting to Digg is usually the quickest way to get new sites or pages listed on Google. Typically it takes less than 1 hour.

another solution to get your website index in minutes us by using AdSense. Just paste AdSense code and refresh the page till ads starts showing, I know many webmasters used this...but now days, you can use Google webmaster tool to upload your sitemap and get you pages indexed.

i'm still new to a lot of this and i know i'm very late on this thread, but i had a question about this:

let's say links aren't spammed but voluntarily placed by myspace account holders. what if i asked my friends and they asked their friends and they asked their friends, would google not take that into consideration when it comes to link placement?

i am a little familiar with follow/no-follow, are links on myspace considered no-follow?

you can laugh if you want (i'm new)

Social Networking sites work well depending on your content. I have a health site and since a lot of my "friends" are into health I get plenty of hits and regular traffic from those who saw a blog or bulletin on my page.
