I collected top 5 war movies from a professional movie site: 1. Saving Private Ryan 2. The Hurt Locker 3. Platoon 4. Full Metal Jacket 5. Apocalypse Now Saving Private Ryan is one of my favorite movie. What are your top 5 War Movies of all time?
Black Hawk Down Saving Private Ryan The Patriot Full Metal Jacket Apocalypse Now Still need to watch The Hurt Locker
Apocalypse now for the awesome psychological conversations, black hawk down for the fantastic art direction and wonderfull music
First, I would like to point out how blatantly biased these picks all are! Why is it that only movies depicting MODERN warfare are considered "war" movies? Isn't Braveheart just as much of a "war movie" as Apocalypse Now? But, if this is the metric we are going by, then these are my choices: 1. Saving Private Ryan 2. Band of Brothers (Ok, it was a miniseries, not a movie per say, but it SURELY deserves it's place here). 3. Platoon 4. Apocalypse Now 5. Full Metal Jacket Not too confident on my ordering here, so give me some slack on prioritization. Also, I think that Enemy at the Gates, Inglorious Basterds, Three Kings, Glory, Gettysburg, The Day After (Nuclear War), The Lost Battalion, and Lawrence of Arabia all deserve honorable mention. I also just want to say that I'm really sorry but Pearl Harbor was just an awful movie. This film was so disappointing that I feel justified in saying so as a statement of objective fact rather than subjective opinion. No, we cannot agree to disagree. At least, not on this.
Last year i have seen The hurt locker. It is a great movie and now i am waiting for the release of mission impossible and i want to see the performance of Tom Cruise in this movie.
My favorites are: Black Hawk Down Apocalypse Now 300 The Hurt Locker Inglourious Basterds ( I am going to watch it now. I heard it is good)
