Top 5 SEO Tips!

thought I would let you know my Top 5 SEO Tips.

1. Optimize all these Onpage Elements by including your keywords in each part: Title, Description, Keywords, Image Alt Text, Image File Names, Header Tags h1, h2, h3

2. Have a footer menu on your site with links to every other page on your site. This will inter-link your pages for bots to follow and index your whole site.

3. Create an xml SiteMap and upload to Googles Sitemap and Web Master Tools section.

4. Get backlinks to your site using your keywords as the Anchor Text. Meaning the actual link is your keyword. This is a very important factor with ranking on Google.

5. Social Bookmark your links to the top Social Sites to get quick and easy backlinks for your website to be indexed on Google. This will happen in no time at all, generally 1-3 days!

I would suggest people to use suggestion number 2 cautiously. You shouldn't have 100s of links in your footer.

I believe sitemap is 'good to have' but not mandatory if your linking structure is good.

Regarding point 4, you should vary the anchor text. All links using same anchor text would be fishy.

My site has 4,000 pages, imagine having a footer navigation for that lot

People do not understand the basis of good quality SEO. it is the implementation of systems that improve a pages search engine strength whilst improving the visitors experience.

Having a footer with zillions of links, is this crude SEO or is it improving a site in terms of the 2 main factors?

I know which one I think it is.

+
Good in-links

= SUCCESS!

Keyword density
Footers ( headers ...bla bla )
Metas
and etc are dust in eyes.

links on social bookmarking sites are not being indexed by search engines anymore so that's just waste of time.

Many social bookmarking sites use the no follow attribute, these are only good for driving traffic to a website and brand awareness campaigns. However there are some social bookmarking/networking sites that do not incorporate the no follow attribute, these have the added benefit of aiding search engine growth.
