Hello, I'd like to know your top 5 reasons to upgrade your site(s) from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, assuming all your required modules have been ported (you know they will be) to Drupal 7. What is it? Speed? Less resource hungry? Better interface? What makes it worthwhile for you?
is no reason to update drupal 6 to d7 at this time... after 6 month /1 year after stable release of d7 ..... you can make this step... Drupal has more than 7000 modules ... is important that more than 20-25% of them to be ported to d7
I still wait for my favorite modules to be ported. the new features i like most are: The administration is much more appealing in drupal 7. Caching and compression has been improved. Adding images to content is now built in. More theming options. new modules that are not available for versions below drupal 7.
Yes I'm beggining a new Drupal proyect and I was wondering: migrate or not migrate? bus customers don't wait, and mostly I'm using a theme for Drupal 6, it will be hard to upgrade all the theming to V7.
It's not hard to convert D6 to D7 theme, just follow the Converting 6.x themes to 7.x documentation and you'll be safe
Well, now I've got one site with Drupal 6 and my new web site with Drupal 7, I'll have to upgrade later
well, I'm wonking with my new web site it is on Drupal 7, but I find no meta tags, or nodeword module? I just had to istall meta tags quick, but, I'm not sure if it is all right, I think Drupal 7 came out too quickly!
I keep finding bugs in d7. I've upgraded one site and am working on a new one and it is 'interesting' fighting with the lack of modules and the bugs. I'm not likely to release this site for at least 6 months though so I don't mind so much, but it can be VERY frustrating.
