well i have to optimize a site with keywords like "osha online training" Osha Outreach Training Hazwoper Training some body plz tell me do these keywords are difficult to optimize for a new website?how muchtime it could take to optimize for top 3?
What is the website URL? Are these keywords in the website url? Is this for the main domain or an internal page? I think that you can go at least into the top 20 for this keyphrase just with on-page optimization even without any incoming links. Make sure the keyphrase is in title tag, meta keywords/desc, in h1, several times in your page body (body should have at least 100-120 words content) (and if its an internal page, link to it from your main page with this keyphrase as anchor text). Then wait, see and optimize if necessary (find some external links)
Not very competitive IMO. How much time will be required is impossible to say, but MUCH less than optimizing for "refinance" - 18,800,000 results.
I nominate this post for the 'most useless advice' award. Anyway, to get an idea of how tough the competition might be you can take a look at the top 3 results of each keyword term. For example, the number one spot for "osha online training" is... http://www.free-training.com/osha/Soshamenu.htm ...notice how "osha online training" is not entirely in the title nor URL - this is good. ...the page rank of the page is "5" - this is bad. ....of course this method is only to get a glimpse of the competition. I usually do not go after a search term with a .gov site with a page rank of 6. ...yahoo explorer shows "89 inlinks" - this is a relatively small number so this is good. The number one spot for "Osha Outreach Training" is... http://www.osha.gov/dte/outreach/construction_generalindustry/index.html ...this is a government site for the main keyword, 'osha' - this is very bad. ...the page rank of the page is 6 - this is also bad. ...of course this is just to get an idea of the competition. I personally, wouldn't pursue a search term with a .gov page rank 6 site sitting on top.
