    I actually suggest checking out some of the stuff from Al Ries: http://www.amazon.com/Al-Ries/e/B000APEU4W

    He doesn't write about copywriting, but he does cover a lot of stuff about audience, consumer patters and consumer behaviour...with a dash of psychology.

    His books should help any copywriter understand what an audience is and how to better interact with it, based on years of his marketing experience.
