This is not 1996! There's no reason anyone should hire a SE submission sompany.

I trip out everytime I see SE submissions now adays. But those who are uneducated in the field may easily fall for it.

just like things like traffic power. If we all keep each other informed on these kinds of scams we will save each other money and headaches.

Right on. I had a little "battle" with one of those companies not to long ago. The owner would e-mail me privately but would never post a public response in the forum.

They are rip offs, plain and simple.

    Good stuff!

I could see marketing SE submission as a way to get your foot in the door to sell SEO services to ignorant business owners (I personally wouldn't do it). But to base an entire business around SE submissions is a joke...and like you said, A SCAM!

I love fielding calls from these clowns!

The best was when the guy told me he was making like $100,000 grand a month. When he told me that his site was PR0 & had zero backlinks reported in any of the major SE's. I told him time & time again if he could demonstrate how his service provided any value at all, even a little, I would retract all my statements. Still waiting for him to get back to me on that one too.

Oh yea, and I'm still waiting for my court papers too...

On the bright side when anyone searches for his company name they will see my thread.

i would hope that they dont, but then again there a lot of ppl that dont know any better. i am not experienced enough to know the best way of doing it, but my method is paid submission direct to se's and through link exchanges on established sites. i think even the link exchanges on established sites might be enough but just in case i still do paid submissions.

I too had a battle with some "search engine submission company" on one of the SEO discussion forums, I think it was on Ryze network. Too bad no one else there stepped out to say that the search engine submission is scam. So I left - I realized no one else had much clue about SEO there and there was nothing to learn for me.

I know this post is late, but i'm too bitter and twisted to ignore this...

www. search engine ranking service .com IS A CON

They promise a million submissions, but not a single link resulting. I told them i would post a bad report about them wherever I can and not rest until I have ruined them.

If you told us what the url is, maybe we could find out.

(Btw. I started one site, left just default software install there, completely abandoned that site, and it had PR 5 by next update, too. I have another that has only forum links from low or zero pr pages, and it has PR 5 too.)

aslo on : http://everglaze.net/diamond.php you may see an ha-ha text

    Hi,

the url is www.standyworld.org. However, as I was pretty new to global webmastering (i did only a few local non-englis sites before) I was more like curious of trying this out... i guess i am not going to speng my money this way any more as well as bying links etc. - i think its all same unnaturall sh*t.

Anyways, i got some good PR5-7 reciprocal links in the meantime (I just realized the sites are that good only few days ago) and that might a kind of explain why StandyWorld.org has PR5 now.

But as i see PR5 seems to be really nothing today...

i actually like buildtraffic.net. They gave my website a hugh alexa ranking boost and have actually recieved some traffic from them. Just signed up for the 36$ secondary engine ppc. Will let you know how it turns out. The thing I like about them the most is they actually called me and talked directly to me. Also guy gave me his personal line to call if I had any questions. Most of these other sites won't even return my emails. Redirectedtraffic.com is a scam though. However they did give me a partial refund.
