Top 15 Mistakes That Most People Do With AdSense

Very nice post, but most of the publishers do this so that they can make money with Adsense. I build my websites specifically to make money online. I focus on targeting SERPs and earnings over repeated visitors and this has increased my earnings tenfold. So, I'd rather not be a hypocrite by saying these are things everyone should follow.

@GuardianAngel Also bloggers could make money. I know some active bloggers who do social bookmarking, comments, all stuff and still make enough money to live.

 

@GuardianAngel: cannot agree with you, there are thousands of blogs that focus mainly on search engines, most of their visitors come from there. In the case of personal blogs you are right, they are not good for making money, but there are a lot of different niches to chose from and blog about that are quite popular and if you do it seriously by creating quality content, you will see the results.

Probably the most important thing when it comes to earning money from AdSense. I think being impatient is the worst mistake you can make.

This is great.
The biggest mistake is some people think that they just need to copy and paste the code on their website and able to earn tons of money. Another mistake is many people think they are smarter than google and google wouldnt found out when they are cheating google

You may be correct, but I doubt if they are using Adsense. They may be making money from selling ad space on their sidebars, or some affiliate marketing.

Actually, I am referring to social bloggers. They are the ones who love to leave comments on blogs, join social sites, and submit to social bookmarking sites. Although these strategies can increase backlink, they cannot make money from Adsense directly.

Definitely, personal blogs whose topics are only about their ramblings and daily thoughts is not a good idea. They may enjoy tons of traffic later but they cannot make money from them, especially from Adsense.

All of my sites been blogs except the forum ones. I have never had any problem reciving organic se traffic. And about the social bookmarking traffic its pretty wrong by you to say that, one of my old sites recived 13k uniques from digg which generated us 20 usd per day. This was 13.000 / 14 - 20 days. They loved ads!

 

While I am glad that you are getting $20/day from ad clicks courtesy of Digg, I am not that convinced if there is a big percentage from them who bought the products from the ads they click.

And if there are, it is also possible that the ad clickers-turned-buyers found your posts from Digg that placed well at Google. This means that most your ad clickers from Digg may not be Digg members, but Google searchers.

Yes, some bloggers does some wrong activies like posting links in comments.
But, of course, not all bloggers does this.

 

Unfortunately, making money from a blog does not end because the blogger is making money. A blogger should be useful not only to his visitors, but also to his advertisers. If he will not care for them, then they might find others who will take care of them.

If one is thinking blogging as a business, then he should think about give and take. This is not only applicable to Google Adsense though, but to all kinds of money making strategies.
