Blog commenting takes time. But it is worth the effort to do it for long term because we will see good traffic improvement in the long term.

Yahoo! Answer traffic is the best because it is the most targeted traffic.

Social Bookmarking Can give our site huge traffic but they are not really targeted. Traffic easy come and go.

I would argue that some of those are better for backlinks rather than traffic though.

 

Hi james, viral marketing usually means a viral video or game that spreads without any (much) effort on your part as it is so good, so people want to see it and add it to their sites, thus growing the links and coverage of your website massively.

This is what we use to market ourselves (gamesquat)

 

Probably,but if you have more backlinks that means that your site will rank higher in the search engines and you will get more traffic.

 

I have to agree that Yahoo! Answers traffic is great. You can target things pretty specifically to exactly what you're looking for, and questions get indexed pretty quickly and provide nice backlinks.

You should include link baiting as well, regarding controversal articles, as well as twiter, if used right

 

Those are pretty well known ways. I think some of those may be outdated as now after many years in online media and after using many of the traffic techniques above I have figured out that you are a lot better off getting targeted traffic than trying just to get the largest numbers even if it is just random views.
