Internal link structure is also very important. Alt / title attributes for images also deserve a mention :)

Be careful as Google do not like Over Optimization too, left tags and keywords for some of the pages this will looks more natural. Also it depends if you use CMS, most of the times you will get your titles as name of products you offer which is probably the best choice

W3c validations are used to check if our documents has been validated against formal standards published by w3c (world wide web consortium).
Please try the link given below for validation:

I don't think the following has any impact on SEO:

    7) Keyword density check of your keyword on a particular webpage
Go and check some #1 pages in Google. You can find ones with ZERO keywords in the body.

    8) Check for w3c.org validations
This can prevent some unexpected problems with upgrading WP blog, uploading images and such, but this is not SEO, I'd say.

    10) Use Sitemap and robot.txt
What to say? It'sa plugin in WP, it probably won't hurt.

    What works:
Linking from several related internal pages (with anchor text).
Put the keyword as an alt atribute in the header image, that points to home page (works only if the image is not the part of the template). This way you automatically get links with anchor text from all your internal pages, pointing to home page. If you don't believe, try with this backlink checker: http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ , put www.healthhype.com in and check anchor text. You'll see that image is shown as a backlink. There is a keyword in it.

I agree with you.In onpage optimization, the most important things are internal backlinks building as well as title/dec/keywords meta tags.Remember pages pass PR to other page, also their anchor text help individual page rank on certain keywords. Many people know that a good structured website can have spider crawl website well, but many people ignore that good structure also should distribute PR and anchor text link to individual pages reasonably.

Always it is recommended to have a flat directory architecture for good structuring of the website.
    Special recommendations for internal linking:
Total number of outbound links in a page should not exceed 100.So based on this recommendation limit the number of links used for internal linking.

Flat directory structure - can you explain?

I have 200+ links on home page: categories, archives, tag cloud, recent posts. Having all this on the home page is good or bad?

Frequent update in content and good content with atleast 200-500 words in page will be the king for ranking.

rest is just to support it.

So, try to update your content frequently probably if you update content weekly , search engine will surely prefer you.

The hierarchy structure of the website should be flat.Having a flat structure is easy for search engines to crawl and navigate the pages of our website.
It is not good to have 200 + links in a page for a website.
