    pretty competitive niche.
    i will narrow it down to "Used cars for sale in XXX"

    you can try to set your location to be more competitive in the area you are targeting
    google places for business will give you a slight edge

    other than that ... build up some good content
    probably lots of link baitings

    avoid purchasing crappy links in hope to boost your serps
    go with quality backlinks

    write an article with the keyword density of the term smwer btween 8-12% , get backlinks.... This will do the trick
