A web hosting client of mine managed to get a top 10 ranking for the keyword 'buy viagra online'. I was told that google just made this nofollow rule for blog owners and guestbook? owners for websites like this. This person signed up (Signup Date: 2006-12-23 11:13:51) and managed to get a top 10 rank for the keyword 'buy viagra online' in less then 5 days. I don't see how this is possible. I understand the fact this dude blog/guestbook spammed like crazy but I thought this method did not work anymore? If you do a search in www.google.com for 'buy viagra online' his website is berg.quickfreehost.com. Could someone tell me how its possible to get 20,000+ backlinks and rank in the top 10 for a high paying keyword in less then 5 days of a site being online? I am dumbfounded.
its very easy, They use bots and go for auto comments on blog and forums with your website links thats how they build links BTW, nice listing any conversions yet?
Its a client of mines site. I really dont know what his conversion rate is I was just impressed at him getting a top 10 listing for such a hard keyword in less then 5 days of the site being online.
can someone tell me where to get some of those, cof cof, bots? really need those for some blog of mine....
Lol you can find on black hat sites for sure but they costs something like $97 thats what i read somewhere Thats very true.. i m amazed too Because blue pill is such a saturated market
He is going to get banned from google very soon.. All he did was spamming other blogs with some kind of bot.. so this gain is for very short period. @scubita - Search google, there are plenty link generator bots are available. there is one called 'blog link generator'.. Wnna buy it for $5?? PM me
Nope, i don't think so he'll b banned. If thats true than i will buy a software from you for $5 and do comment spam on my competitors so they can get banned. And as per google's webmaster guidelines Competitors cant hurt your rankings. Lol, there are almost no .gov .mil .edu message boards/guestbooks available now because of all spamming issues
I want to delete his domain for what he has done but im just so impressed that I cant do it. If he gets banned whats the big deal? These guys arent in it for the long run. If you can get a site indexed for a top paying keyword that gets you 2,000 uniques a day for 5 days, you make a percentage off of each affiliate sale. If he gets banned he will just start another one and start the whole process over. These guys arent trying to get a site popular for the longrun, they're trying to make a quick buck. Just my opinion
Google has shown no ability to combat spammers. These guys just machine-gun them to death everytime using Google's own algo AGAINST them. I've always followed that particular SERP "buy viagra" online, and it's always machine-generated.
I hate to see things like this, espcially as I slave away manually getting backlinks. I wonder if he will get banned, im not so sure. Google does state that sites wont be punished for activites that could be done by competitors. I guess thats the reason some off page blackhat stuff works.
I will not delete the account and I will keep this thread updated as to what goes on with this site so that you guys know if he gets banned or drops in the serps.
Well, term buy viagra online also isn't searched so much (few hundred searches per day probably), but competition is pretty strong.
I do have a comment though. Whitehat seo people hate to see blackhat seo, because blackhat seo not only fills the search engines with garbage, it usually "in my experience" seems to allways overpower the whitehat sites in one way or another. Although the blackhat sites might not last long, I dont believe they're looking for the longevity of the site, they're in it for the quick buck that it brings.
Frisby, I looked at the cpanel stats from this guys site he is averaging 400 uniques a day. I would take that any day on such a targeted keyword.
Lexiseek, when you really look into these different types of blog/guestbook spamming and look at the keywords they spam, none of them really do anything else but viagra, ringtones, etc. I wounder what the outcome would be if they were using diff keywords, if there would be the same results.
Take a look also if google is the main referer (what about msn and yahoo, better spam filter?) and if it has also some other good SERPS for other keywords.
This guy can actually create a problem for you... i am not sure but, see this guy is using subdomain on your domain. Hence if his subdomain gets banned for blackhat tricks than your site may get penalized or google wont trust your site much.. May be this is just one possibility
