Few nice things u have stated here but still there are lots of other things to be considered while doing SEO of any site.

This is far from everything I know about SEO, but it should help new webmasters better understand the basic factors that are involved when optimizing a website for organic traffic from search engines.

As others have noted the age of the domain name is also an important factor to consider but I do not feel that it plays as much of a role as other factors that can be controlled.

Hey, these are good tips. I liked that you mentioned about the relevancy. Relevancy is much needed as SE are using LSI. I recently wrote a post on Title tags in a detailed fashion. I would definitely say that relevancy and consistency are the most important factors of SEO when it is all said and done.

Most people seem to have trouble understanding these factors, just as I once did, so I thought I would try to put it into clear words as pass on this helpful information.

I have some domains that I registered a few years ago
and just started using. They are ranking Quickly

Jack, I agree that domain age is important, but overall I feel that it is not as important as other factors that are able to be controlled.

We do not have any control over domain age, and I feel that the age of the domain can be important. (The history of the domain can be a negative factor that can not be controlled.)

Domain history in regards to prior external search engine optimization, could be a negative influence on PageRank and search engine position.

I could provide many examples of websites with new domain names that are able to out perform old domain names for very competitive keywords and keyword terms.

If a new website is built and optimized better, compared to other websites that would be considered composition, for internal and external search engine optimization factors, then it will have better placement for the keywords terms that the website is targeting.

This is why I included the domain name on my list of top 10 important SEO factors, but I do not feel that the domain age is as important as other factors than can be controlled.

I hope this help to bring a better understanding of the important factors of SEO. If anyone has any information to add to further questions, concerns, or comments; feel free to post them.

Sorry, but I need to respectfully disagree with you.

I feel that the domain name of a website is not the most important factor of SEO but it is important enough make my top 10 list.

Any domain name, website, and/or page of a website can be optimized to target any keyword and/or keyword phrase.

This means that the other factors that I listed above domain name as far as importance, are more important than the domain name itself.

The factors that I listed at the top of my top 10 list of important SEO factors, are more important when it comes to keyword performance and search engine position.

Anyone can optimize a new website, optimize the page of a website, or area of an existing website to target any keywords and/or keyword terms.
This simply means that the domain name is not the most important factor of SEO.

If the domain name of a website was the most important factor of SEO, search engine optimization would not be what it is today.

 

As you stated, its really all about relevency when it comes to your backlinks
