i always used to do manual link building and it worth a log, as 2 quality links is far better than 20 not quality links

Well you might want to check www.thetrafficlink.com.
This website automates the promotion process of your websites by 3 way linking. I've seen paid service of same kind but this one is free. Its worth trying.

Link-Vault is the best tool. It is a website that lets you earn points for links if you display links on your site, then it automatically displays your custom links on related sites with custom anchor text.

Write something good or leech it w/e u want to do . but u just need something good. You should earn links naturally because if u cant, then there is no real point in trying..

Link Submission takes quiet a while. Been considering starting a service that does it for a small fee. :p

Keep in mind, at least as important as getting the links is effectively choosing what keywords you want the links to optimize for. (Unless you're just trying to crank up toolbar PR to flip a domain, but that's not fooling so many people any more, so I'll assume you're optimizing for a site with actual content that wants actual natural search traffic.)

And what I've heard is, when you submit website to directory, its better to use different anchor texts rather just using the main anchor text for all links.

Yeah. You rank better on whatever keywords (and keyword sequence) are contained in your anchor text. In a degenerate case, that's how Googlebombing works.

This has already been said, but the best advice is not to use any software or tools to do it for you. They usually don't give good results. You have to be patient and do it yourself.

agree. Use tools just for help.
It's useless if you have tools, but don't know how to use it :D
