Noticed the Google Toolbar PR is not showing any information. We have seen this before, around the same period between the two visable toolbar pr updates (aprox 3 months ago)

Maby they are using the toolbar PR servers for another calculation process or is this the end of the visable toolbar pr?

The PR of my site went from 6 to 5. So, perhaps something is going on.

THe PR on the toolbar changed yesterday (or at least I noticed it then) but if you query it, it reports back the correct PR.

I also noticed for most of my sites, there are two datacenters showing what seem to be the PR from last update.

That lends to the theory that the visible PR Bar is showing info from before the last update as he was previously a PR0

The mystery is just why when you query it it shows the actual PR and what that means.

I still see PR7 for Matt's Blog.. And regionally speaking I am fairly sure me and YFS1 should be using the same toolbar server.. Strange..

There are lots of threads in this same forum reporting that Google is using old data.

    This is not a mystery.

Your Google tool bar gets the PR info from Datacenters! If some Datacenters are showing "old" PR information and you happen to be routed to one of those Datacenters - that is what your Google Toolbar will report.

IF you would like to designate which Datacenter you would like your Google Toolbar to use for your PR information you can use the following steps...
(these are instructions for IE browser - not sure if it is the same for FireFox)
    * Go to Windows Explorer on your Computer.
    * Go to C:\WINDOWS and look for a file named HOSTS (no extension - Not Host.SAM)
    * Right mouse click on the file and select Open with - select Notepad
    * Add this line of code - 216.239.53.99 toolbarqueries.google.com
if toolbarqueries.google.com is already present just modify the IP address to 216.239.53.99 (or you can use any of the IP addresses of the datacenters that have already updated)
    * Save and close the file.
    * Now close Internet Explorer and re-open it!

Your Google Toolbar will now query the Google Datacenter 216.239.53.99 which is one of the Datacenters already updated.
